It took 74 days for Apple to sell 1 million iPhones in 2007, but that time was shattered by the iPad, when 1 million iPads sold in just 28 days.  At this point, Apple is struggling to keep up with the demand for the newest must-have toy.Already, iPad owners have downloaded 12 million software applications.  Newstex will be launching some exciting new iPad applications with our distributor partners in the coming months, as well as new iPhone, BlackBerry and Droid mobile apps.It's an exciting time to watch the publishing industry change dramatically as more and more people choose to consume content in new, more mobile ways.  While there is no doubt that the pace of iPad sales will slow down, there is also no doubt that the device is a game-changer.  Already there are rumors of Google developing a similar device, and surely more will follow.Do you have an iPad yet?  Do you want one?  Leave a comment and share your opinion.Image: Flickr
